OLR :
Outgoing Longwave Radiation. The energy leaving the earth as infrared radiation at low energy. Pap Paramètre calculé en haute
troposphère à partir de températures qui sont dérivées de radiances
(mesures satellitaires). En pratique, le champs d'OLR est un bon
indicateur de la convection profonde en régions tropicales lorsque les
valeurs sont inférieures à 240 W/m2.
Operational numerical forecasting model:
numerical forecasting model for daily routine forecasts (as opposed to a numerical model for an exceptional numerical simulation or a numerical model in development).
Orographic:
associated to the surface relief.
