- Monitoring Atmospheric Composition and Climate - is the current pre-operational atmospheric service of the
European GMES programme. MACC provides data records on atmospheric composition for recent years, data for monitoring
present conditions and forecasts of the distribution of key constituents for a few days ahead. MACC combines
state-of-the-art atmospheric modelling with Earth observation data to provide information services covering
European Air Quality, Global Atmospheric Composition, Climate, and UV and Solar Energy.
MACC is funded under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union and began on 1 June 2009. MACC is
undertaken by a consortium drawn
largely from the partners in the earlier GEMS and PROMOTE projects, whose
core systems and service lines provided the starting point for MACC.
The Second MACC General Assembly will be primarily an internal one, focussing on the assessment and development of
the project. It will be held at the Conference Centre of Météo-France in Toulouse, during the week 18-22 October 2010.
See the program page for details on sessions.
A poster session will take place Tuesday 19th end of afternoon. This is an opportunity for all project participants
to present their results in more details than possible in the main plenary session overview presentations. Please
visit the registration page for submitting a poster presentation.
Hotels in Toulouse can be booked via the registration page.
