The UK Met Office and Météo-France vGISC are organizing the first international workshop on "UK Met Office and Météo-France vGISC implementation " from 5 to 7 June 2013.

The different sessions animated by experts from WMO, UK and France will help the participants to facilitate the migration to the WIS environment.

Sessions will cover :

  • WIS concepts,
  • DCPC and NC implementation,
  • vGISC presentation and offering services,
  • introducing to the opensource OpenWIS software.


    • The workshop will provide the opportunity for participants to develop the capacity for fully participating in WMO Information System and interact with the v-GISC gateway.
